A new video has surfaced in Nico Nico Douga featuring a hack of the Super Mario World for the SNES. You might think this is just another old ROM Hack, until you see that this video features a musical remix using sound effects from the game itself!

The nico medley features several video game music from popular series such as games like Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Super Mario RPG, and Megaman, and from Japanese influences such as touhou, anime, memes, flash animations, and even pachinko!

The original video from Nico Nico can be found here.

Happy New Year everyone!

I been one hell of a year for this website. What started out as a humble sandbox for my scripts ended up as a website for my addictive hoobies.

Within only a few months, this site has grown from a small website to one that has 16,000 unique visitors with over 290,000 hits a month and basically exhausting this site’s bandwidth on several occassions (if you were wondering why this website is sometimes down near the last week of some months).

I sincerely thank everybody who continues to support this site.

So what’s next for this website? I’m currently taking interest in the Wii SDK for developing Web Applications for the Wii Internet Channel. Maybe more jQuery tutorials when I meet them along the way. And as usual, some game news that interest me, and more papercrafts.

Hoping for a great year to come for everyone.

And since it is new year, here is some video game theme that is quite appropriate for the occassion:
