The latest issue of Famitsu contains screenshots and concept art from the latest installment of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Series for the Wii.
The Monster Hunter series is currently one of the most popular franchises in Japan, with the game selling a huge amount during release accompanied by very long legs afterwards. One can only wonder how the Wii’s motion controls can enhance or destroy the Monster Hunter experience and affect the sales of this game.

While looking at the news Jetlogs just posted previously about the Megaman 9 boxart, it reminds me of the old Megaman boxart I saw in a chinese site awhile back.
After seeing this, I’m pretty sure most of you will go WTF. But that is actually the boxart of the offical US version of the original Megaman. Poor american always have to stick with the crappy artwork in the old days. /gg
In an act of self-parody, CAPCOM has released a cover art for the soon to be released MEGAMAN 9 game. The cover art was on the shirts of the CAPCOM staff on the recent E3. It seems CAPCOM really has a great sense of humor. The artwork is made with the old trademark of the NES games with weird character designs and a sci-fi movie feel.
This might bode well in that the next installment on the main series will really go back to its roots with the old school gameplay (and difficulty).
ULTRASOUND GRAPHICS SYNTHESIS?
8-BIT FIDELITY ENGINE?
Can’t get anymore old school than that!

In another (lesser) twist of events, the latest issue of Famitsu has Dead Rising confirmed for the Wii. Originally a game for the XBOX, the game has now been ported by CAPCOM. How it will utilize the new controls, or how the graphics will be downgraded from the HD version still remains to be seen.
It is almost inevitable that a PS3 version would be next seeing how CAPCOM is good at making games multiplatform.
