Let me just step in to defend it here…

Games can be downloaded using a PC and transferred with a USB connection, a cable comes with it.

Also, after some consideration I think the new location of the analog stick is better. It more closely matches the playstation controller. If you’ve ever tried playing a game that needs you to hold up on the analog stick for long periods of time you will also realize the position is better, you don’t have to scrunch up your thumb anymore.
