Grand Cross Trivia

During the development of my Grand Cross Calculator, I noticed a curious property of Grand Cross 10, that I had neglected until now. When I checked the formula, I just had to try it on my Paladin to see if it’s true. It seems that:

Each hit of Grand Cross 10 will always have damage that is divisible by 5 on monsters with elements that are neutral to holy.

See the following screenshots below to see what I mean:

GC 10 exhibit 1
GC 10 exhibit 2

Exceptions to the rule:

  • Monsters that either have a tolerance or weakness to holy
  • Players wearing equipment that adds tolerance to demi-humans
  • Players wearing equipment that adds tolerance/immunity to holy
  • Players having buffs that reduces damage like Assumptio
  • Players wearing GTB
  • Herbs and Mushrooms (GC only does 1 damage /swt )
