It seems that the folks at the CS department of University of New Mexico have developed a new metaphor for a process manager. They have basically made a Doom interface for a process manager called PSDoom. That’s right, Doom as in the first-person shooter game from the 90′s. It takes a whole new meaning to the meaning kill process. System permissions is depicted by the player’s ammo. Persons with higher system permissions have much larger ammos.
NOTE: PSDoom only runs on *NIX systems though, so if you have a UNIX or a BSD system at home, its worth a try. But if you only have a Windows platform, then you’re just stuck with CTRL+ALT+DEL
